Memories lol

    Been rather busy getting ready for my vacation, and preparing to get a starter loan to get some credit and use towards that vacay. Excited really. My husband and myself plan to go to holiday world, never been, and the zoo, Rock climbing and probably swimming, camping and hiking during the week I've requested off for in the middle of august between both our birthdays and right around when we first started dating. Its going to be a sort of second honeymoon, the first didn't pan out.  Actually when looking back I should probably just be happy we were able to get married the day we had planned lol.
      The morning of our wedding we were to get married at the court house, we stood out side waiting for everyone to arrive, the wind ripping at my dress and the alarms blaring ominously, and then it turned out that on top of there being three tornadoes that day, and us having to hide in a shelter until  later to get to our hotel room, the judge had cancelled on us with out us knowing and we had to go in the middle of nowhere and get married in a strangers living room. Definitely a memorable occasion. If I didn't know any better I'd have thought that it was premonition of our future. Course it always works out in the end lol. Plan to take lots of pics and video to create new memories this time round.
     In any case got to use my new iron and work space recently repairing my husbands favorite pants, found a place that sells zippers for 25 cents each and bought about 3 dollars worth two with the intention of useing them on this project and a pair of plaid pajama pants that i could turn into shorts for myself and use as the inside patch material for the holes and rips, I like the look of flannel plaid with jeans. So heres the before and after.

busy busy busy.

     So been busy getting things together to make it more easy to get back into my projects, and art. We worked 12 hours summer cleaning and moving our room around, and while theres still quite a bit work and organizing left I none the less have my work area now.

Complete with five boxes, two containers and a whole dresser stuffed full of things to be used towards sewing projects and refashioning. Seriously need to downsize here. Or I could just go on a crafting spree :P. I also have my art, and writing supply's in the area but everything really needs to be organized and I still have to fix my husbands pant's, well ttyl, need to fish up some of the cleaning.

thrifting

     Thrift stores have spoiled me to their elusive finds and low prices. I can't even go to the mall anymore with out taking one look at the prices and thinking, I could probably make that if I tried or wonder why I'm not thrifting instead. It's become like treasure hunting, and addicting, which is why i try so hard these days not to clothes shop, but alas I broke down yesterday and bought some much needed pants,and shorts, Stupid Holidays. As for the treasure I found the cutest skirt.

     I'm contemplating making a tutorial of a similar purse design also recycling old containers as the shell to add durability and help to keep the purses shape. Well off on to my walk ttyl. 

Getting started.

     So today I started my new calorie counting diet with myplate at www.livestrong.com. A rather interesting site for anyone interested in health, beauty, and fitness. It's full of lots of tools to help you, as well as information, and the food diary. Think I walked about 3 miles today, note to self "get up earlier for your morning walks." I was sweating bullets by time I made it back up the hill. Hope it rains soon, this heat is a killer even if it is suppose to be summer.

     After grocery shopping today I wound up breaking one of my shoes, which is sad cause i haven't really worn this pair allot. Ordered them online from China. Oh well's one more item for my ever building pile for reconstruction. we can rebuild, make them, better stronger blah blah. Speaking of refashioning, There is a purse I plan to make recycling an oatmeal canister and a top. I use to make and sell the cylindrical purses back in high school, now I think I may be able to do a better job on it and well, i luvs recycling. Go green! lol, green is my favorite color and coincidentally the color this purse is going to be . well ttyl for nows.

   

     Change is suppose to be a good thing right? I fear change yet feel it's something I need desperately. I started this blog a little bit ago unsure what a blog was, or what I should write about, but now I think I know. Whatever I feel like writing about, things in my life, things I'm doing, and my desperate struggle to get back in to the things I love and want while balancing it with my new love and wants. Sharing the things I learn, as well as the things I know.
     My current goals, well the usual getting back into shape for starters. This ones for several reasons actually. One is for the clothes, I am a clothes junkie and there are certain styles I crave. steam punk, lolli goth, bohemian and so on, which is why another of my goals is sewing and design, which I digress. Another reason is because I would love to be like one of those people from ninja warrior, lol, I watch way too many action films, and lets face it, when the world either faces the apocalypse or the government collapses, it's the fit that shall survive. And I way too many things I want to do to die, way too many, which is why I need a place to organize my thoughts.
     So then my other current goals include clothes construction, learning to sew, getting back into my art, and writing, saving and and preparing for my future seeing as I'm still newly wed, and finishing final fantasy 12, lol. Gaming, one of my newer loves that my hubby got me into. Also I have a list a mile long of things i want to do places I want to go and things I want to learn and accomplish one of which is to finally get my license one of these days
